Dr. Sowell Comments on OWS — SHORT AND SWEET!

Thomas Sowell(born June 3, 193) is anAmericaneconomist,social theorist, political philosopher, and author. ANational Humanities Medalwinner, he advocateslaissez-faireeconomics and writes from alibertarianperspective. He is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at theHoover InstitutionatStanford University.
Sowell was born inNorth Carolina, but grew up inHarlem,New York. He dropped out of high school, and served in theUnited States Marine Corpsduring theKorean War. He had received a bachelor’s degree fromHarvard Universityin 1958 and a master’s degree fromColumbia Universityin 1959. In 1968, he earned his doctorate degree in economics from theUniversity of Chicago.
Dr. Sowell has served on the faculties of several universities, includingCornellandUniversity of California, Los Angeles, and worked for “think tanks” such as theUrban Institute. Since 198 he has worked at theHoover Institution. He is the author of more than 3 books.

The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama’s America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.

It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.

It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been shredded and, with them, every person’s guaranteed liberties.

It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.

It is the America that Obama and the Democratic Party have created with the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood , unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.

Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.

The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America .

  1. Dr Sowell suggests that those exhibiting their constitutional right to petition and assemble is the issue, Not the annihilation of America but annihilation of the corporate model, which it appears
    Tom believes is the correct way to deal with the malcontents who will bring wall street and the Fed to their knees.
    With you age and education, you sound like uncle Tom, no matter your race.
    We spend the money, we do the work while the corporations especially pHarma would decrease our numbers for a profit.

    of the failure of the USA, Sorry to disappoint, boycott to bankruptcy will fix our nation.
    Sir you have been without sulfur in your diet since 1954, try adding it back and see if reason does not replace your knee jerk “hippy” response.
    Corporate America and the global corporate establishment will go away if we have to hang every single one of the lazy bastards.
    Sam Houston drew a line in the sand of the Alamo: Cross this line for freedom, is the question he asked. No corporate official would cross that line, the one percent could care less about our health, Our health is the only way we can enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

    We will have our health! Got sulfur, it is one of the few things that can protect and the repair the damage of radiation, and Dr. Sowell’s contemporaries have given us Fukushima.
    Boycott GE. Boycott the arrogance of Uncle Tom.

  2. Dr Sowell is so right. This group is not the “99%” of America but the 99% of the pampered 2% that is just below the top 1%. They have never had to work because their parents felt it was beneath them; they have never had academic failure because mom and dad always intervened to further coddle “their precocious children” and make sure they looked good on paper so they could have it all with out working. These are the people Obama wants because they are the “useful idiots” of socialism.

    That top 1% they protest did not get there by behaving the way this group is; they were too busy finding ways to earn success and wealth. We may not like the way some (hedge fund managers come to mind) make their money but most do do something to make their money and complaining about others who made it was not the way they made it.
