From a musician and singer of 2 years I can confirm that the region 439Hz to 444Hz is utter bull crap for singing. If you want to go high/low depending on how you look at it 448-45Hz is much nicer or 423Hz-425Hz with modern 12-TET. The region from 426Hz to 431Hz has a bit of a strange resonance.
